History |

Design
Research, LLC was founded in 1998 by Richard Babick.
Mr. Babick spent the previous sixteen years as
Corporate Research Director of Lenox, Inc. In
2001, along with Ken Coakley, Mr. Babick acquired
the Macomber Report and founded sister company
Design Research Reports, Inc.
This
firm specializes in sales and trends reporting.
It also offers Home Furnishings Monitor,
the only quantitative design trends tracking service
available in home furnishings. In addition, Design
Research Reports was recently selected by the
International Housewares Association to be the
supplier of IHA Homestats, the first
ever sales tracking service dedicated to the housewares
industry.
Janine
Finkle joined the firm in 2005 as Vice President,
Market Intelligence. She conducts research and
runs the Home Furnishings Monitor reports.

provider (depending upon client needs) using the
StatPac and Uncles software suites.

have complete multivariate capabilities.

we do not maintain a focus group facility, we
do have experienced moderators on hand to handle
such projects.

Design
Research, LLC is different. Collectively we have
26 years of experience as corporate research directors
(and 44 years of experience as researchers).
That
means 26 years of taking personal responsibility
for our employers' research. That translates into
a unique ability to define the research problem,
design the best methodology to address the problem
and then execute that solution in time and within
budget.
We
take great pride in saying that many of our clients
treat us as if we are their internal research
department.
