Leger
Marketing is a full-service market research supplier.
For many
of our clients we work on research programs from
the planning stage through the analysis and presentation.
We have,
however, conducted individual pieces of the research
process. We have members of our staff with expertise
in experimental design for up-front program planning
and in statistics for back-end analyses.
Approximately
60% of our revenue comes from telephone interviewing.
Internet and interactive interviewing is a growing
part of the market research industry. Leger Marketing
has witnessed a similar pattern.
Through
our LegerWeb product offerings, we provide the following:
- A
US Internet Panel with real-time reporting.
- A
quarterly global Internet panel with real-time
reporting.
- Specialized
consumer and b-2-b panels created for clients
with special needs.
- E-Tracking
surveys conducted for satisfaction, brand, market
and media programs.
- Website
Evaluation programs conducted in collaboration
with HEC of Montreal.
In addition,
we employ our own moderators for focus groups and
one-on-one interviews. We also have developed strategic
partners for in-store research and mystery shopping
programs.

All
processing for US-domestic work is conducted from
our office in the Philadelphia area.
The
telephone interviewing is conducted from either
our WATS center in Charleston, West Virginia or
the Leger Marketing Corporate WATS center in Winnipeg.
The
interviewers in Winnipeg have a very neutral accent
and have been extremely successful in interviewing
in both the consumer and business-to-business
arenas in the United States.
Additionally,
the strength of the Canadian dollar makes interviewing
from Canada very price efficient.

Media
Analysis - Leger Marketing uses a CARMA analysis
to analyze the news media and provide a clear
understanding of how companies are portrayed to
their target audiences as well as providing intelligence
on key emerging issues in all industries.
Reputation
Analysis - Leger Marketing has created an
exclusive reputation model, which measures the
eight commandments of reputation: quality of products
and services, quality of customer service, perceived
strength of the company, strength of relationship
with customer, level of dynamism and capacity
to innovate, credibility and transparency, social
responsibility and perceived quality of relations
with employees.
Pricing
Sensitivity - Leger Marketing has created
a price sensitivity measure (PSM) for surveys
conducted in both the consumer and business-to-business
arena.
Political
Polling - In Canada, Leger Marketing is the
primary polling research firm for Canadian Broadcasting.
In
the US, the Director of Leger, Gary Kaplan, has
had 15 years of experience in designing and analyzing
public opinion polls for ABC and the Washington
Post.

History |
|
Leger
Marketing is a privately owned company. It was
founded in Montreal, Canada in 1986 by Jean-Marc
Leger and Francoise Leger. Leger USA currently
has two offices, Philadelphia and New York City.
In
addition, Leger Marketing is a member of the Gallup
International Association and as such is represented
with partner offices in 63 countries throughout
the world.

Call Center Facilities |
|
Leger
Marketing operates a central call center equipped
with 200 research stations loaded with Computer
Assisted Interviewing Software (CATI).
Surveys
are programmed in-house using the Voxco software
package.
Interviews
may be monitored remotely via audio links.
In
addition, we employ an experienced staff of supervisors;
our normal supervisor to interviewer ration is
1 to 17.
At
any one time, 5% of our interviewers are at the
executive level.
Note
that we use predictive dialing technology.

Group Facilities |
|
We
have three focus group facilities - 1 in Montreal
and 2 in Toronto.
Each
facility is of standard size, comfortably accommodating
10 participants and 1 moderator. Sessions can
be recorded via VHS tape and/or Audio-Cassette
tape.
Each
viewing room can hold up to 15 people.
Our
focus group facilities are also equipped with:
- Large
projection room (40 chairs)
- Full
Equipped Kitchens
- Usability
Lab
We
also rent space in facilities (not owned by Leger)
in the United States.
The
Canadian focus group facilities have a triangular
shaped discussion table, which allows an optimized
view form the adjacent observation rooms.
Each
room has an individual simultaneous translation
booth equipped with an infrared wireless translation
system.
