MMS/BAR maintains a state-of-the-art CATI (computer assisted telephone interviewing) facility with 40 acoustically paneled interviewing stations.
Our computerized facility eliminates typical “paper and pencil” errors, and facilitates complete data analysis and cross tabulations. All stations are connected to a silent monitoring system that allows staff and clients to listen to the interviews while in progress, even from outside the facility.
Our Focus Group Facility services include:
- Conference room with seating for up
to 12 respondents
- 3-tiered viewing room with dimmer
controlled lighted tables and high speed internet access
- Client lounge with TV monitoring
- Redundant sound system
- Fully stocked kitchen
- Member of ActiveGroup (Internet broadcast capabilities)
MMS/BAR has established quality control, interviewer training, and certification procedures to ensure that all aspects of each study are conducted according to the highest research standards.
MMS/BAR’s professional supervisors and interviewers go through a comprehensive, in-depth training program, which meets MRA standards, prior to the start of each project.
This training program concentrates on administration of the survey instrument using proper interviewing technique, probing, and maintaining interviewer neutrality. |

Maryland Marketing Source, Inc. (MMS) was established in November 1986, specializing in both qualitative and quantitative data collection.
From picnic tables and mis-matched chairs to state-of-the-art, auto-dialing CATI stations, MMS’s tools have modernized through the years, yet our ideals have stayed consistent. We remain committed to quality research through telephone interviewing, focus groups, and on-location intercepts.
To better serve our clients, in 2001 MMS became a full-service market research company. This inclusion of project design, questionnaire development, statistical analysis, and report and presentation preparation among other services made us better able to provide exactly what each client needs.
In 2002, MMS acquired Bay Area Research, LLC. Bay Area Research (BAR) is a market research company specializing in all forms of data collection. From pencils and clipboards to CATI and PDA’s, Bay Area Research, LLC continues to offer a wide range of collection services to suite all data collection needs. |
| Call Center Facility |
Maryland Marketing Source maintains a 40-station, CATI-equipped call center from where we conduct telephone surveys.
Telephone surveys are programmed in-house using the Survey System software suite.
To ensure quality data collection, surveys can be remotely monitored from any location. In addition, we maintain a supervisor to interviewer ration of 1 to 10, and employ executive level interviewers for many of our projects (approximately 20% of our interviewers are at the executive level).
Survey results are analyzed using the Survey System software and SPSS.
We can provide all levels of data analysis, including regression, ANOVA, modeling, etc. |
