The acquiring organization originally planned to set
up the acquired products as the parent brand with

step was a research project in which the existing
brand name was favored considerably over the acquired
brand.

these results the products remained under the existing
brand with an added initial marketing effort. In two
years the expanded line exhibited a 30% annual sales
increase.
